Feet On The Ground Tour

Friday night, May 9th, was a special treat for a full house at The Evening Muse as Julie Lee, Steven Delopoulos and Katie Herzig brought their Feet On The Ground Tour to Charlotte. A night opened by Hannah Miller, these three feature singer/songwriters took the stage together and took turns featuring their unique styles as the others provided support. It's unique to have three headliners all take the stage at the same time and proceed to support each other as they showcase their unique talents. The Evening Muse is a great venue for this as the sound is great and the audience is there to listen to the performances of these wonderful musicians.

Julie Lee performed several songs from her new CD - "Take Me Out To Hear The Band". Julie may struggle to put her style into a category, but it is a first class Jazz sound to me. A beautiful voice with significant range blesses her words - and her humorous wit.

Steven Delopoulos' powerful vocals will get your attention. His songs tell a story - so keep up! It is easy to listen to Steven as he tells his story through a fast paced lyrical journey accompanied by some beautiful guitar pickin'. You will watch in awe as he picks his guitar - wondering how on earth he creates the diversity of sound all at once from his single acoustic guitar. A truly talented songwriter, singer and musician.

Katie Herzig - I'll call her "Apple Tree" - performed several tunes from her new CD - yes, it's titled Apple Tree. She likes apples although she probably wouldn't commit to that as she may one day not like them so much.. I know - it's confusing.. What is not confusing is the beauty of her songs and the meaning with which she sings them. As a side note - my favorite is Shovel. When not performing her own tunes, she provided percussion support on this night for the rest of the group.

It's a show not to miss and a great opportunity to pick up each of these performers recent CD's all at the same time. Be sure to talk to these artists as well - they are a friendly bunch and most don't bite.. :-)

I have put the photo's from this show in three separate galleries - one dedicated to each performer, so be sure to look through each.

Cheers,

Monty

Hannah Miller

Hannah Miller performed the opening act Friday night, the 9th of May, at The Evening Muse. Hannah and Jim performed a number of her new songs from the "Into The Black" CD. This South Carolina singer/songwriter is gifted with a lovely voice and a lyrical talent which will have you paying attention to the words being sung. Thanks to Hannah and Jim for making the drive up to Charlotte to perform this night.

Cheers,
