Heidi Schwartz

Heidi Schwartz played the Evening Muse on July 20th, 2005. I just happened to be at the Muse that evening with my son and of course had my camera. Little did I know that we would be treated to a talented singer/songwriter's performance. Of course I should have expected that from the Muse. Further research also showed that Heidi is also a talented artist. You can see more of her work at her website, www.heidischwartz.com . It's worth a visit.

Cheers,

Alan Barrington (http://www.alanbarrington.com/) performed at the Evening Muse http://www.theeveningmuse.com/ in Charlotte, NC on August 12th 2005. It was the second time I have seen Alan, but the first time I have seen him perform at a venue that is specific for musical performances. This second performance was very different as a result. Alan's voice came through strong and his unique style was very apparent. I liked it enough to buy his new CD. Very glad I did too!Above is the link to the photo's I took of Alans' performance that evening at "The Muse"..

Lindsey Horne

Photos of Lindsey

"Lindsey was born in Charlotte, NC. She began singing at age 3, studying piano at age 5, and writing songs at age 16. She studied voice at SMU in Dallas, TX, and went on to finish her degree in Creative Writing at Queen's University of Charlotte. She has been writing poetry as long as she can remember. Though she was trained classically as a musician, she grew up listening to artists such as Emmylou Harris, Joni Mitchell, Pat Metheny, and Lucinda Williams. These influences taught her to love elements of jazz and country, but most importantly, to have a fascination with imagery and lyricism. She also developed a unique voice that she wields with an absolute love for singing. Though the majority of her performances in Charlotte and Dallas have been on stage in musicals and theater productions, writing songs is Lindsey's ultimate passion. She had been playing solo until the Lindsey Horne Band was formed in 2001. One of her greatest pleasures in life is making music with these guys." - source: Lindsey's bio on her website http://www.lindseyhorneband.com/

I have had the pleasure of seeing Lindsey perform on numerous occasions at The Evening Muse. My best adjective for her voice would be sultry - almost to the point of seductive - and it is certainly unique. Her writing style reflects emotion and experience. The link at the top of this entry goes to photos of Lindsey performing at the Evening Muse within my portfolio.

Cheers
